International Workshop on Nano-Engineered and
Multifunctional Concrete

● Workshop Background
As the most widely used construction material in the world, modern concrete is facing the increasing challenges for satisfying the requirements of safety and functionality of structures. Many studies have been devoted to this goal by taking the advantages of nanotechnology, fibers and other new admixtures to develop concrete with multiple functions such as ultra-high strength, high ductility, self-sensing, self-healing, high damping capacities and high toughness. Nano-engineered and multifunctional concrete is becoming one of the most hot research topics in the field of concrete. Thus, we organize this international workshop aiming at the development and application of nano-engineered and multifunctional concrete. The objective of this workshop is to provide a forum for international researchers, specialists, professionals to share the state of the art in nano-engineered and multifunctional concrete field with new results, fresh ideas and future perspectives.
● Topics and Presentations
There will be 20 Invited Keynotes and 20 selected Ph.D. students oral presentations in the topics of Nano-engineered concrete, Self-healing concrete, Self-sensing concrete, Ultra-high performance concrete, Environment-friendly concrete, Other functional concrete.
Posters are welcome.

纳米与多功能混凝土高层国际研讨会

● 研讨会背景
水泥混凝土作为当今世界上用量最大的人造材料，为建设20世纪人类物质文明做出了重要的贡献，同时对资源、能源的需求和对环境的影响十分巨大。当代工程结构的巨型化、复杂化，服役环境的极端化、多因素耦合化以及自然灾害的频发对重大工程结构的安全性形成的严峻考验，以及对环境和资源的保护都形成了对高性能多功能混凝土新材料的迫切需求。当代混凝土技术亟待新的突破与发展。国内外学者利用纳米材料等新材料与新技术对混凝土多功能化进行了广泛深入的研究，赋予了混凝土自感知、自愈合、高阻尼、高韧性等功能特性，提高混凝土结构安全性、舒适性和耐久性，延长其使用寿命，减少维护维修费用，为混凝土行业的可持续发展提供了新的动力，成为土木工程学科的热点领域和发展前沿。
为了推动多功能混凝土研究的快速发展与应用，加强与新材料、新方法和新技术之间的融合，举办本次以多功能混凝土为主题的国际研讨会，为混凝土多功能化研究的最新研究成果与发展方向提供一个交流与合作平台。

报告主要包括20个邀请报告和20个博士生论坛专场报告，主题包括但不限于：纳米混凝土，自愈合混凝土，自感知混凝土，超高性能混凝土，环境友好混凝土，其他功能混凝土。
